Financial Manager | Arkema Inc. | Philadelphia, PA

Responsible for the creation of a data-driven environment in the non-direct purchasing departments. Develop, implement, and optimize analytical processes and procedures to gather and manage purchasing data. Lead efforts to improve the bottom line performance of the organization. Develop and lead the Supply Chain Stage-Gate Process and support process improvement projects. Assist VP, Supply Chain and his direct reports in budget process for the non-direct purchasing and logistics spend. Lead efforts to focus cost-savings initiative on the highest value categories of spend.
  • Develop key indicator metrics and reports to the VP, Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management Team on a monthly basis. Prepare and analyze cost center expenses versus budget.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support evaluation of supplier bid packages for goods, services, and logistics.
  • Prepare and communicate quarterly savings scorecard, working with all plants and purchasing locations to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in preparation of an annual comprehensive review of each business unit
  • Support all purchasing decisions from a financial standpoint

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or technical discipline. MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years experience in the finance/cost accounting field, within an industrial environment
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, with strong knowledge of SAP as well.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to interact with all functions and levels of management
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Results-oriented, self-starter with strong business financial acumen
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong quantitative orientation
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead through influence
  • Ability to effectively communicate and defend financial priorities
