Responsible for providing full financial support to all aspects of
Arkema's Fluorochemical business. Provides accurate and timely financial
analysis/insight to business leadership to ensure fully informed
decisions. Identifies and leads various process improvements with
financial and accounting implications that cross various functions of
the business and regions. Accomplishes all required functions of
financial control & reporting (i.e. directs the budget preparation
process; prepares financial statements for the budget; directs the
5-year plan process; prepares as-needed, finance-related business
presentations; etc.).
- Ensures that all activities follow policies and meet corporate and
external rules.
- Participates in setting goals, policies, and resource allocations of
the business.
- Participates on cross-functional teams to improve the profitability
and/or appropriate allocation of resources of the global divisions and
Arkema.
- Identifies potential savings projects based on key indicators or other
outside sources.
- Provides policy guidance to manufacturing facilities regarding
standard costing and procedures as well as allocations.
- Actively supports personnel development of Financial Analyst.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA
preferred.
- 10-15+ years experience in the chemical industry, experiencing ranging
from Commercial / Research / Manufacturing to Accounting and Finance.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at the conceptual level while able to
routinely work at the detailed level in system tools
- Self-directed, capable decision-maker with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven ability to interact with all business functions and levels of
management
- Strong leadership skills with ability to lead through influence
- Proven proficiency with financial-related software and competent in
financial disciplines (IRR, NPV, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate and defend financial priorities
- International business experience with sensitivity to cultural
interactions and/or international issues
