Metrics Analyst I | PNC | Pittsburgh, PA

As a Metrics Analyst I, you are a member of PNC's Risk Management department. You will be based in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania headquarters location, where you will work within the Risk Analytics and Basel Program Office and support PNC's efforts to develop and roll out risk-adjusted profitability methodologies and tools.

Respnsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities include participating in cross-functional teams related to the introduction of new risk-adjusted profitability technologies, reports, and analyses. You will also be responsible for running business performance, risk and operational analytics and using systems along with technical/analytical skills to produce accurate and timely reports to aid senior level management in making business decisions. Additional responsibilities include extracting data from necessary sources and updating and maintaining historical databases. You will also analyze the accuracy of data trends and reporting measures. You will report to the Modeling & Profitability group manager within the Risk Analytics and Basel Program Office.

Your hours will generally adhere to a basic workweek. Within the day, there will be a variety of activity, with a pace set by business demands. In your role, you will draw upon your problem solving skills and business acumen to satisfy the demands of the projects to which you are assigned. All the while, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work among peers within our group and across the organization and will gain significant access to senior PNC professionals.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

Education, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field 1-3 years of related experience
  • Solid analytical/problem solving ability
  • Strong Microsoft Office (EXCEL) skills
  • Strong written and oral communication, analytical and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with VBA, Hyperion, SAS, and/or Visual Basic .NET is preferred
  • Banking/Financial services experience and experience with financial modeling and discounted cash flow analyses is preferred
